Join us for the February session of the RSA Fellows’ Conscious Living Network as we explore the physical, mental, and emotional benefits of reconnecting with our sense of wonder.
In today's hyperconnected world, for some of us fully giving our attention to anyone or anything is rare. Our busyness has managed to disconnect us from our truest, authentic, and most genuine human capacities: to feel a sense of wonder.
We walk down the street heads down, either glued to our devices or pondering what is next in our never ending to-do list, unbeknownst to the miracle of life which binds us and surrounds us at every moment. Our burning curiosity and openness to feel amazement is suppressed by our noisy and cluttered minds.
As an adult, awakening your inner child might seem like a waste of time, unimportant behaviour for no apparent reason, but science has discovered that regularly experiencing a sense of wonder will improve your capacity to innovate, create, cope with challenges, and adapt effectively to changing circumstances. Furthermore, there is now a plethora of evidence that indicates that experiencing wonder improves self-regulation in our body - that is, the capacity for your body to heal itself.
In this session, we will explore how to reconnect with your sense of wonder and improve your professional and personal life in doing so. Looking at practical tips to experience transcendence with every encounter, to rekindle your relationship with your feelings of amazement and admiration, and help you bring back that inner sparkle that makes human life such an amazing journey.
Tickets are free of charge but please register your attendance at the top of this page. For any queries please contact: Cesar Gamio FRSA at [email protected]
