Michael Morpurgo

Author

Michael Morpurgo is a prize-winning author of books for children, including War Horse and Private Peaceful.

From 2003-2005, he was the Children’s Laureate, a role he conceived with Ted Hughes. With his wife, Clare, he founded the charity, Farms for City Children. In 2023, a new edition of All Around the Year is published to celebrate his 80th birthday, with proceeds donated to Farms for City Children and The Beaford Archive.
