Founder and CEO of Beam

Alex Stephany is the Founder and CEO of Beam, a new social enterprise working in the homelessness sector.

Previously, he was CEO of parking app, JustPark, and led its growth from a team of 2 to over 40, millions in revenues, and secured backing from Index Ventures.

While running JustPark, he also led the company through a record-breaking equity crowdfunding campaign, raising £3.5m from over 2,700 investors.

Alex continues to support JustPark as a board advisor and also sits on the board of Spacehive, a crowdfunding platform for cities.

Alex is the author of The Business of Sharing, a critically-acclaimed business book on the sharing economy published by Macmillan in 2015.

Alex is also an advisor to Seoul Metropolitan Government on the sharing and collaborative economy.
