David Miliband
President and CEO, International Rescue Committee
David Miliband is president and CEO of the International Rescue Committee (IRC), where he oversees the agency’s humanitarian relief operations in more than forty war-affected countries and its refugee resettlement and assistance programs n twenty-six United States cities.
From 2007 to 2010, Miliband was UK Foreign Secretary, driving advancements in human rights and representing the UK throughout the world.
As the son of refugees, Miliband brings a personal commitment to the IRC’s work. He lives in New York City with his wife, violinist Louise Shackleton, and their two sons.
