Councillor, Rio City Council

David Miranda, is a journalist and the first LGBTQ member of the Rio City Council. He was infamously detained at Heathrow in 2013 under controversial anti-terror legislation measures – a move that many commentators agreed was intended to intimidate the outspoken critics of the NSA and Britain’s own GCHQ.
