David Morris
Professor of Mental Health, Inclusion and Community, University of Central Lancashire
David Morris is Professor of Mental Health, Inclusion and Community at the University of Central Lancashire and Director of the Centre for Citizenship and Community, a collaboration with the RSA, involving also the Royal Society for Public Health and London School of Economics, which aims to lead and support across public service domains, the learning and innovation needed for services that integrate the value of social networks and community assets in achieving wellbeing and inclusion outcomes.
With a professional background in social work, David has worked in the NHS, voluntary, central and local government sectors. Prior to his current role, he established and led the National Social Inclusion Programme at the National institute for Mental Health in England.
David is research active within the area of connected communities; social capital; social work and social policy.
