Gervais Williams

Gervais Williams is an award-winning fund manager.
He has worked in the City for 25 years. His career began in 1985 with
Throgmorton Investment Management, before moving to Thornton Investment
Management (part of Dresdner Bank).
In 1993, Gervais joined Gartmore Group Ltd where he was head of UK Small Companies investing in UK smaller companies and Irish equities. He led a team responsible for nearly £1 billion in assets and these funds tended to outperform all other comparative funds over the period of his tenure.
After serving 17 years at Gartmore, Gervais is now managing director of MAM Funds, where he has become one of the major shareholders.
For many years a respected commentator on the global economy, 2011 saw the release of Gervais’ first book, 'Slow Finance'. The book is part of his new theory in investment fund management.
