He has over 25 years’ experience as a duty solicitor and High Court advocate representing clients across all sectors of society.
For the last decade he has been active in opposing cuts to the justice system through the involvement of the London Criminal Courts Solicitors Association. As President of the organisation in 2014-15 he was instrumental in the action against legal aid cuts and consolidation.
He contributes regularly for various journals including The Justice Gap, The Brief and The Law Society Gazette about the funding of the justice system, court closures and disclosure issues. This Spring, he was instrumental in launching the Charter for Justice which aims to bring about a minimum set of standards to the Justice System.
