Lord Heseltine is a life peer in the House of Lords and patron of the Tory Reform Group.
He was a Member of Parliament from 1966 to 2001, and was a prominent figure in the governments of Margaret Thatcher and John Major. He held posts that included Defence Secretary, Environment Secretary and Deputy Prime Minister.
In 2013, he led an independent review with recommendations on how to increase UK growth - “The Heseltine Review: No stone unturned - in search of economic growth”.
