Loretta Lees
Professor of Human Geography
Loretta Lees is Professor of Human Geography in the Cities Group, Department of Geography, King's College London.
She is currently working on issues around new-build gentrification and on policy issues with respect to gentrification and social mixing - Loretta has co-authored a book titled Gentrification (Routledge 2008)
More widely she is interested in the policy issues associated with the urban renaissance agenda in the UK and the USA. Her research on architecture to date has focused on the role of public landmarks in urban regeneration. In this she has developed a methodology of architectural analysis that engages with the embodied experience of architecture.
