Nick Phillips
Co-chair, Commission on Social Security
Nick Phillips is Co-chair of the Commission on Social Security. His full-time role is Project Coordinator of London Unemployed Strategies. This includes the development of peer support groups for benefits claimants and promoting the voice of experts with lived experience. Nick was previously a youth and community development officer for nearly 40 years and has worked in deprived inner-city areas of several London boroughs as a community centre manager, outreach worker and in various other roles. He also spent eight years in video production making films with youth and community groups.
