Douglas Alexander is Shadow Foreign Secretary and Member of Parliament for Paisley and Renfrewshire South. Between May 2001 and May 2010 he served in a wide range of ministerial positions, including Secretary of State for International Development, Minister of State for Trade, Investment and Foreign Affairs, and Minister of State for Europe. Between June 2007 and May 2010 he was the UK’s governor to the World Bank. During 2012-13 he was a Fisher Family Fellow at the Belfer Centre for the Future of Diplomacy at Harvard’s John F. Kennedy School of Government.
