It was a busy quarter in the world of sustainability in Autumn 2018, with the IPCC report on climate change calling for urgent action, and RSA events such as the Future Facing Leaders, and Making Places Last Conference called on the expertise and leadership skills of our Network members. 2017 was a big year for the Network: our membership nearly doubled in size, we expanded our events programme with over eight events across the UK and online, and many of you got involved with our various sub-groups. Now we look forward to 2018...
RSA Fellows in the Brighton area came together in November 2017 to discuss taking action around the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Speakers included Susan Harris FRSA, Sustainability Network Lead, and Libby Davy FRSA of the Greater Brighton Network, as well as other sustainability leaders and champions.
On March 27th the Sustainable Households subgroup of the RSA’s Sustainability Network organised a webinar on the topic: Energy Efficiency-Smart Homes and Smart Behaviours. Follow the link to watch the video recording of this online event on Vimeo.
The Sustainable Households sub-group is committed to helping UK households assess and improve their sustainability and we are seeking simple, implementable solutions based on currently available information and methods. We have conducted a survey mostly among our members on the gaps, barriers and opportunities for more sustainable behaviour in UK households.
