In the autumn of 2014, the Metropolitan Police embarked on a major consultation exercise to understand how it can provide the service that London needs as a global city in 2020.
The RSA was commissioned by the Metropolitan Police to provide an independent assessment of how the Met working collaboratively can best serve London into the next decade – and how London can better support the Met.
Drawing on evidence gathered through an extensive engagement process, the proposals made by the RSA are designed to ensure the Met can best address acute, urgent and long-term challenges. Our proposals are also intended to provoke a debate about how the Met can better work with others and vice versa.
