Natalie Nicholles
Global Director (Sabbatical)
Natalie is Director of RSA Global at the RSA, responsible for global strategy and governance, partnerships and leading a UK-based team.
In her time at the RSA she has built a sustainable global infrastructure of RSA affiliates, projects and partners, ensuring investment, focus and impact. By opening up the RSA’s research, 28,000+ Fellowship and platform for public debate to the world Natalie and her team are building the RSA’s global credibility while investing in local capacity to affect change.
Natalie began her career in the private sector working for FTSE 100 company Wolseley Plc in Europe. After four years and much thought, took the decision to focus on work that addresses the systemic causes of inequality in the world. She launched an enterprise project for leprosy and tuberculosis charity Damien Foundation in Bangladesh, and then built a successful socio-economic impact consultancy within think tank the New Economics Foundation (NEF) in London.
A leader, manager, evaluator, facilitator and general ‘do-er’, Natalie has published, chaired and spoken publicly on topics ranging from the social, economic and environmental impact of community-based adaptation to climate change, to the importance of diverting women from the criminal justice system, to the trends in the future of work and artificial intelligence. She is passionate about helping institutions put people and the planet at the heart of decision-making as the best way to make real social change.
She loves contemporary dance, is half British/ half Belgian and is married to a Frenchman.
