We are pleased you are considering applying for a Regional Fellows' Award. The Award has been created to help Fellows in the South East test ideas, projects and assumptions that are in an embryonic stage so it's okay if you are just at the starting point of your thoughts. Applicants should either be a Fellow or sponsored by a Fellow. Funding is available up to £500.
Peease note: the deadline for the final round of applications is 26 October 2016.
Why should I apply?
The Regional Fellows' Award has been designed as a support to help Fellows to explore their ideas and develop thoughts on projects with others to strengthen collaboration and/or applications for the RSA Catalyst Fund and other sources. Alongside the financial aid, successful projects will be highlighted in the RSA’s newsletter and we will help you share your idea using local events. We will also try and connect you to Fellows who may have expertise in your ideas field.
Are there any obligations on Award winners?
We ask that you write a short summary for the Regional Team and a blog post outlining what you did with your regional support. If you use the funding to bring people together, we ask that you make events available to relevant Fellows and that you record and share who joins you.

1. Your idea and the need you are addressing
The team will assess your answer based on how well you have explained your idea and the need you are addressing. Please remember this text will be used to highlight your work to other Fellows and potential partners.
2. Your solution
Your answer will be assessed on the merits of your intended solution to the need outlined. Is your solution achievable, will it help you test or take your idea further, does it recognise other ideas, issue and potential solutions and learn from them?
3. Budget
The team will be looking to see that you have considered how you plan to spend the funding element of this award.
4. RSA Key Themes
The RSA’s focus on three Key Themes helps to focus our work and energy. How well does your idea align to one or more of the Key Themes and how could it feed into other work being developed by Fellows and staff at the RSA? The RSA’s Key Themes are outlined here.
