Self-employment has grown by almost 30 percent since 2000, with the result that one in seven people now work for themselves.
The RSA and Etsy have set out to explore this phenomenon by considering why so many people are turning to self-employment, what this means for them and for the country as a whole, and how they can be better supported to achieve their full potential.
