Alan Lockey is Head of Programme for the Future of Work
Before joining the RSA, Alan was Research Director at the think tank Demos and was the Labour Party’s senior adviser for education policy at the 2015 general election. He has also worked for the former Labour MP Tristram Hunt, the Innovation Unit and the educational social enterprise, Future First.
Alan has a BA in Philosophy and Religious Studies and an MA in Political Theory, both from the University of Manchester. Outside of work Alan has volunteered for the charity, Debate Mate, and sings in the indie choir, Some Voices. He also supports England’s most inept football team, Sunderland AFC.
