Rebecca is the Private Secretary to Andy Haldane.

Rebecca graduated from a master’s degree in Environmental Politics from King’s College London in 2020. Since then she has experience working across various sectors with an aim to make impact in society. She worked for the International Institute for Environment and Development as part of their climate change team, focusing on organising their global conferences, until November 2020. Following this, she joined a EdTech start-up called How to Change the World, working to transform education on sustainability, globally. In her spare time, she volunteers at another social impact start-up called We Make Change that focuses on revolutionising the global volunteering sector, and empowering individuals to use their unique skillsets to make a difference.

Rebecca’s master’s thesis investigated the nexus between climate change, gender and the media, and this area of research is one that she continues to be is deeply interested in. Rebecca also holds a BA in International Relations with Political Science from the University of Birmingham.
