Last week a cheeky friend referred to this blog as a bit Marie Claire. They didn't specify whether it was my writing style or the generally pink-ness of the graphics. I actually think this actually puts me in quite good company for a newcomer to blogging... So in the best women's magazine style, reproduced here are Marie Claire's 10 top tips to lead a greener lifestyle:

So in the best women's magazine style, reproduced here are Marie Claire's 10 top tips to lead a greener lifestyle:

  1. Take a stand against standby
  2. Boil less, freeze more
  3. Try not to fly
  4. Turn out the bright lights
  5. Use renewable energy
  6. Take a low-power shower
  7. Cut car trips
  8. Wrap up your home
  9. Sort your washing out
  10. Recycle

I think they're pretty good tips (#9 means try to use your tumble dryer less by the way). And here are their 10 top healthy diets:

  2. The Eat-Clean Diet by Tosca Reno
  3. Eating in the Raw by Carol Alt
