I wish it were only funny. Like all good satire it is painfully close to the truth. My 10 year old daughter attended a gifted and talented day this week, She came home utterly dispirited, because as she put it, "We wasted the whole day doing politics." When I asked her to detail what she had actually done the only way I can sum it up is political indoctrination. I taught for 19 years and for me no teacher has any right to discuss, refer to, or even hint at their politics in front of someone else's children. Since when did the state own my family?
