Cambridgeshire and Peterborough

The Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Region of Learning (CPRoL) project is an ambitious, multi-year social mobility project that will use the Cities of Learning framework to badge, map and connect learning in the region in 2021-22.

CPRoL was launched in 2021 with the aim of supporting 15-24 year olds furthest from education and employment to take advantage of learning across the region to achieve their ambitions.

RSA Cities of Learning is working with the Cambridge City Council and employers and learning providers across the region to create learning pathways as new routes for young people to engage in developing their skills and interests, exploring new careers or improving their wellbeing.

Over the next 6 months, we will support CPRoL identify and create pathways into three of the many key growth sectors in the region, including:

  • Creative and Cultural
  • Finance and Legal
  • Wellbeing opportunity provisions

We will also create a local skills framework through a skills data analysis for key industries. Through this Future of Work research, we will co-develop a sector-specific skills and future risks register with local employers across the region.
