In her first public lecture as RSA Chairman Vikki Heywood draws on her professional experience and observations to make a case for how the UK could begin to truly value arts and culture.
In her first public lecture as RSA Chairman Vikki Heywood draws on her professional experience and observations to make a case for how the UK could begin to truly value arts and culture. Reflecting on both the RSA’s emerging world view and some of its own and other innovative projects and proposals, Vikki will argue that the Arts should be central to resolving the most pressing priorities for communities and policy makers as they seek to cope with rising demands and limited resources. Throwing down a challenge to the creative industry Vikki will call on arts organisations to have the confidence to move from special pleading to demonstrating and expanding their public value and social impact.
Speaker: Vikki Heywood CBE, RSA Chairman
Chair: Matthew Taylor, RSA Chief Executive
