David Harvey is the English-speaking world’s leading expert on Marx, and his RSA Animate, The Crises of Capitalism has been viewed  over 3 million times. Has his thinking changed since his last RSA talk, and what do we still have to learn from Marx?

Marx’s ‘Capital’ is one of the most important texts of the modern era – it  changed the destiny of countries, politics and people across the world – and continues to resonate today. But what are its key arguments, and how do they apply in a 21st century context?

Harvey visits the RSA to explain the profound insights and enormous power Marx’s analysis continues to offer, but also considers the degree to which political and social changes during the last 150 years mean it may need to be modified.
