Failure can teach us lessons we would never otherwise have understood.

Elizabeth Day is an award-winning author and journalist, and the host of the hit podcast How to Fail with Elizabeth Day.

In her new book, Elizabeth shares honest, uplifting stories of her own experience of failure, as well as insights gleaned from her interviews with people from all walks of life who found that life’s twists, turns and tragedies shaped them far more profoundly than the times of plain sailing.

Life is texture; things will go wrong, she counsels. But failure – when we learn from it – can be the key to growth, strength and self-awareness.

Once we accept that we all fail, we can let go of living in pursuit of a future perfect, and instead embrace the present and all its messiness, and live fuller, richer lives.
