Culture Durham, Café Culture North East and the RSA Durham Network are delighted to be working together to offer you the opportunity to come with us on a journey, exploring and uncovering the legacy of Durham’s Dark Secret.
Our event begins with an interactive conversation in the Wolfson Gallery involving Archaeologist Professor Chris Gerrard, expert Sophie Daniels and the audience. We will hear about and discuss the significance of place, people and hidden secrets, discovered and interpreted through research and culture. But what is the legacy of the ‘Bodies of Evidence’? We intend to uncover what our audience and speakers think this might be, and what it may become.
This is followed by an opportunity to visit the Bodies of Evidence Exhibition, as we make our way to the café to join musicians ‘The Brothers Gillespie' to hear about their creative response to the ‘Dark Secret,’ and enjoy a live performance of voice, fiddle and guitar.
