Join us for the first online event of the RSA Innovative Education Network. Hear more about the relaunch of the Network and how we will work with new task groups. Get involved in discussions about the pressing issues in education today.
We are delighted to be relaunching the Innovative Education Network as an RSA Fellow-led network, reuniting with existing members and welcoming new ones. We hope this network will be a space for inspiration, sharing ideas, collaborating together and making change happen in exciting ways.
This event will introduce you to the Innovative Education Network: our aims, how we work through our task groups and who we are. More importantly, it will be a chance to talk with others as our Task Group Leads head discussions on a key question within their areas.
There will be plenty of opportunities to ask questions about the network and to get involved. It is up to all of us to decide what change we want to make happen and to find ways to make a difference both locally and nationally.
Our current task groups:
-
Life Readiness and Education seeks to drive forward conversation around the mission of preparing people for the next phase of their life - whatever that may be.
-
Accountability and Assessment in Education seeks to examine in greater detail the current systems of measurement, inspection and performance management to find ways of creating alternatives and new ways forward.
-
STEM in Primary Education seeks to examine the role of STEM in primary education and how we can improve our approach to this issue in a variety of ways.
All of our task groups are open to new members. In the future, we plan to expand the number of task groups to address a range of issues and areas connected to education. Email us if you wish to make suggestions for the network or task groups.
This network is open to everyone whatever your expertise or experience. For this event, we welcome those who are already members and those who want to know more about the network before joining.
We aim to create spaces where everyone can feel they belong and can play a role: education experts, those with an interest or experiences in this area, and everyone in between. Contributions and participation can come in many forms and from many different people. We welcome a diverse range of perspectives and backgrounds to enrich our work together.
If you’d like to join us online then please register for a ticket. If you can’t make the event but want to keep in touch then we suggest you join the network so you are the first to hear about our next steps.
This workshop is taking place online using zoom, a user friendly online event and seminar platform. You will be sent detailed, step-by-step dial-in instruction via email closer to the event.
