Inspired by the RSA’s history as a social improvement organisation dating back over 250 years, our new First Friday Changemakers series offers an interactive space to share and develop ideas for social change.
On 3 March, we’re joined by Angela Dorgan. Angela is the CEO of First Music Contact (FMC), the Arts Council-funded national resource organisation for musicians, which run the Irish Music Export Office, the online music portal Breaking Tunes, and the annual music industry showcase Hard Working Class Heroes festival.
FMC also developed and co-run the creative industries course at Dublin City Council Local Enterprise Office, “Start your own music business”. Angela will be talking all things music, and particularly the government-backed Basic Income for the Arts scheme, that could prove to be revolutionary for the artistic community.
Join us on the first Friday of the month for an informal talk from one of our guest speakers, followed by a chance to discuss the topic of the day or anything else on your mind, in small breakout rooms. We start at 2pm and we’ll be finished by 2.45pm, allowing you to enjoy your Friday afternoon with inspiring speakers and interesting colleagues.
