Join Evan Weissman, regional ambassador for the Denver and Boulder Fellowship communities, for a collaborative event with Warm Cookies of the Revolution on April 28th.
For this interactive event, three presenters will answer three questions each, exploring the connections between the Movement for Black Lives, the history of Queer culture in the House and Ball community, and current efforts to decriminalize sex work. This event is in collaboration with the House of Lauren’s Miracle Ball taking place the following night.

Our presenters will be:
Michael Roberson is co-creator of the nation’s only Black Gay Research group and National Black Gay Men’s Advocacy Coalition. He is Senior Editor of the online international publication Arts Everywhere Ballroom Freedom School section. Michael co-authored the Time Magazine article "Why Voguing and the Ballroom Scene Matter Now More than Ever." and he is a cultural consultant for the FX television show, Pose.
Shanae "HonestlyNae" Adams serves as therapist, educator, sexologist, and sex-positive enthusiast. Her mission is sexuality normalization, explanation, and melanated representation. She is known for her dynamic workshops, sex-positive mindset, and eliminating the taboo surrounding sex and sexuality. Her doctoral research focuses on BIPOC experiences of kink.
Tiara Latrice Kelley is an entertainer, producer, and director. She is House Mother for the House of Lauren Colorado, as well as the House of Latrice (composed of former Club Q drag queens). Tiara recently testified at the Capitol in support of the newly-passed Safe Reporting Assaults Suffered by Sex Workers bill. She also sits on the board of directors for the Parasol Patrol, an organization that protects LGBT youth from protesters at events like drag queen story time.
Dr. Frank Leon Roberts is Assistant Professor of English and Black Studies at Amherst College. A winner of the Roddenberry Fellowship, Dr. Roberts is the Founder of Black Lives Matter Syllabus, and co-founder of the National Black Justice Coalition. Dr. Roberts created the Baldwin-Hansberry Project whose mission is combating homophobia in Black communities; combating racism in LGBTQ communities; and training a new generation of Black LGBTQ activists.
