Join the Gender Equity Network for a fireside chat about mental health with Stephanie Sorady, psychotherapist and author of The Better Habits Workbook.
Mental health is a serious concern for all women. According to the Mental Health Foundation, around one in five women have a common mental health problem and a recent poll commissioned by CVS Health found nearly half of working mothers surveyed were diagnosed with anxiety or depression.
Inequity, gender-based discrimination, caregiving responsibilities, postpartum depression and menopause are among the contributing risk factors to common mental health conditions for women. In this virtual salon we will discuss how to de-stigmatize mental health topics and share actionable steps we can take to support our wellbeing.

RSA US Virtual Salons usually occur on the fourth Thursday of each month; they aim to create open dialogue and a space for RSA US Fellows to connect across geography over the issues of our times. Join a Salon to get to know other RSA US Fellows and our interests, passions, and perspectives. Salons are supported through the moderation of a volunteer to ensure that a diversity of voices are heard. We invite all Fellows to join this discussion to deepen the ways we can connect with each other across the country!
