A roundtable discussion of the RSA's work on heritage, identity and place.
The RSA and Heritage Lottery Fund have been partnering for three years to understand how to strengthen the links between heritage, identity and place.
This roundtable will mark the launch of our vision for ‘networked heritage’, summarised in five principles. Speakers will highlight the power of heritage as a tool for shaping place, with citizens taking the lead.
We will be discussing how networked heritage principles can be turned into practice. With cities and counties vying for new devolved local powers, how does your work strengthen local identities - connecting heritage into wider aspirations for how cities, neighbourhoods and regions develop?
The roundtable will also be an opportunity to take an early look at the Heritage Index 2016 results, with new data which highlights the local areas making the most of their heritage assets.
