The RSA has agreements in place with a number of coworking spaces across the country. So whether you are looking for a place to work from regularly, or you need somewhere to touch down with your laptop when you travel, take a look at the places where you can co-work for free.

The RSA has arranged for use of the Dryden Enterprise Centre for coworking (this normally costs £25/day). The Dryden Enterprise Centre is a brand new, state-of-the-art building in the city centre, open Monday to Friday from 8am to 6pm. There are pods for focused work and meetings, open plan desks, superfast Wi-Fi and free tea and coffee. You are welcome to bring in guests for meetings in our shared spaces, please sign you visitor in at front desk. No need to book – just turn up and mention the RSA at reception.

The Transfer is a professional yet friendly coworking space in Balsall Heath, open Monday to Friday, 8.30 to 6pm. To book, just go to the Transfer booking page and enter the code RSA2023-4 when booking one day co-working pass, which will bring the price down to £0. Meeting rooms within the Transfer are available to be booked at members’ rates (50% off), subject to availability. Please ensure you book your coworking using the discount code before booking meeting rooms.

The RSA has arranged use of the She Inspires community and enterprise hub for coworking. The hub, run by Zinthiya Ganeshpanchan FRSA, is open Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. There are pods for focused work, tables, free wifi and tea and coffee. You also have the option to sign in up to two guests at each visit. No need to book – just turn up and mention the RSA to reception. The Hub also offer a 25% discount on published meeting room prices when you mention the RSA.

Mention the RSA as you sign in and receive free access to the GMCC Members’ Lounge at Elliot House on Deansgate, suitable for business meeting needs and also to be based out of while working. This space is open from 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday, includes free open plan meeting space, free tea/coffee and free hot-desking space. Simply sign in on the desk to gain free access.

We have also got a partnership with the 34 Boar Lane co-working office in Leeds. Thanks to the RSA’s partnership, you can work from their offices free-of-charge on our Day Pass scheme, simply go to their website and enter the code RSAPROMO when buying a Single Day Pass, and you’ll get it for free.

RSA Fellows and friends are welcome to base themselves out of the Impact Hub Bradford for up to three days per year - perfect if you’re in town on business for a few days. This agreement mirrors the global Impact Hub contra-partnership which allows for global members to access hubs in new cities.

The RSA has a partnership with Engine Shed, an innovation hub located right next to Temple Meads Station in Bristol. The coworking space is coworking space open Mondays to Fridays 9am to 5pm, with wifi and the café onsite. You can also take advantage of a 25% discount for venue hire for meetings or events. You don’t need to book in advance and you are welcome to bring a guest – just mention the RSA when you arrive at reception. The RSA hosts occasional events at Engine Shed and our RSA Area Manager is there on a regular basis if you would like to arrange a time to meet.

RSA South East have partnered with WERKS Central to offer free accessible space for Fellows to work, meet and network in a choice of two of their on-side Sustainable cafés in Middle Street and Old Steine, in Brighton City Centre.
The space will be open to Fellows 9am to 5pm every Thursday throughout the year. No need to book, just turn up.

Proetus cafe/bar is reserved for Fellows on the last Friday of the month from 1:30pm to 7pm, for remote working, eating, networking and drinks with other Fellows. For those who want to host local fellows events, or go somewhere more private, they've got several spaces suitable for break-out sessions free of charge too.
Proetus is an arts venue and inclusive family-friendly community hub, in Basingstoke. The venue often hosts performance arts shows and events open to the public, so Fellows are welcome to stick around and get tickets for the evening events if they fancy too.

The Central Library (1st floor), is open to Fellows 10am to 2pm on weekdays. It is a brand new dedicated co-working and growth hub for local entrepreneurs, creators and freelancers, to help them start and grow their ventures. The centre offers co-working and networking spaces, access to industry standard equipment such as a camera for free professional photos in our dedicated ‘PhotoHub and SellersHub’. The Margate School (TMS) is an independent not-for-profit postgraduate liberal arts school, a hub of innovation and creativity within the local community through their socially engaged and sustainability-driven programmes. Starting in January 2023, the TMS Café and facilities are available to RSA Fellows on Wednesday afternoons 12pm to 4pm, every month throughout the year. Fellows can access TMS public lectures, and hire TMS technical facilities or small lecture rooms at a discounted rate (subject to availability). Exhibitions are free, as are some lectures, requesting a voluntary contribution only.
