Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs is a cross-border exchange programme which gives new or aspiring entrepreneurs the chance to learn from experienced entrepreneurs running small businesses in other participating countries across Europe. A new entrepreneur (an individual who is firmly planning to set up their own business or have already started one within the last three years) can spend up between one and six months with a host entrepreneur (an individual who is owns or manages a small or medium-sized enterprise for more than three years in one of the participating countries). This exchange provides the opportunity for the new entrepreneur to learn new skills as well as develop their own business plans through mentoring support from the host entrepreneur. In turn, the host benefits from fresh perspectives on his/her business and gets the opportunities to cooperate with foreign partners or learn about new markets. The stay is partially funded by the European Union.
Whether you are a new or highly experienced entrepreneur, the programme can offer strong added value to your business: possible benefits include exchange of knowledge and experience, networking opportunities across Europe, new commercial relations or markets abroad.UnLtd are one of the partners on the programme in the UK and are able to support individuals through the application process, assist with the brokerage of relationships and manage the relationships during the exchange period.
UnLtd are also hosting an information session all about the Erasmus programme and how to get involved on at the London UnLtd offices from 1pm – 4pm for people to find out more and enrol in the programme. Please register your place.
UnLtd are currently recruiting both host and new entrepreneurs to participate in this programme. If you are interested in participating or can recommend anyone else, please contact Julie Nicholson at UnLtd on [email protected] or visit the UnLtd website.
