The UCL Institute for Global Prosperity and the RELIEF Centre partners are pleased to invite you to Innovation on the Move – an event on the role of innovation and entrepreneurship in building a prosperous future for societies impacted by mass displacement.

The RELIEF Centre is a transdisciplinary research collaboration that focuses on one of the world’s pressing challenges of the moment: how to build a prosperous and inclusive future for communities affected by mass displacement.

One of the research strands, Future Education, focuses on co-designing the appropriate education and learning opportunities for communities impacted by mass displacement.

This event is a chance to explore the role entrepreneurship can play in achieving this. Hosted by Diana Laurillard – Professor of Learning with Digital Technologies at the UCL Institute for Education and Co-Investigator with the RELIEF Centre – EdTech companies from Lebanon and the UK will discuss if and how EdTech can meet future education needs in the context of mass displacement.

We will then have a collective discussion exploring the major challenges for education and technology in the context of mass displacement, and how we can respond to these challenges.

This free event will take place on Thursday 26 April 2018, between 15:00 – 18:00 at Wayra, 20 Air Street, London, W1B 5AN.
