Red Bull have just launched the first ever Amaphiko Academy in the UK. Amaphiko facilitator, and FRSA Kamran Rashid invites Fellows to get involved, and applications are open now until 31st May. The Academy was created to support social entrepreneurs aiming to make a change in their community for the better.
Successful applicants will participate in an intensive 8 day programme where they will have the opportunity to connect and collaborate with some of the world’s leading innovators, entrepreneurs and storytellers including figures June Sarpong (MBE, broadcaster and presenter) and Natalie Stewart (The Floacist and founder of FLO Vortex) and Shazia Hossen (founder of Strong Habibita Athletics and female empowerment advocate).
Taking place in Bradford from 28th September – 6th October 2019, the selected 20 innovators will become part of the 120 talented emerging social entrepreneurs Amaphiko has supported and developed through the 15 other locations it runs. At the end of the program, each applicant will be partnered with a mentor to develop a business and personal strategic development plan, while receiving support for the next 18 months to level up their social project.
The Red Bull Amaphiko academy encourages all young people from throughout the UK striving to make a change in their local community to apply with an idea they believe in. This is an exciting opportunity that enables innovators to take their projects to the next level with direct support and to become part of a community with a dedicated team behind them.
