Join the RSA Islington Network for their final meeting of the year on Wednesday 23 October, in the beautiful community garden King Henry’s Walk Garden, to explore sustainable food.
This year all four of the RSA Fellow-led Islington Network meetings explore the climate emergency and how we in Islington can respond. In our second meeting we explored the use and production of energy. In the third, they will be thinking about food.
The food industry is one of the greatest drivers of the loss of biodiversity - so what we eat affects not only our own health but that of the planet. But there is increasing evidence that, across the world, our food choices are being manipulated by the large food companies.
How are they doing this, and how can we fight back to support a healthier Islington population and a healthier planet?
Date and timings: Wednesday 23 October, 18.00 - 20.30
Venue: King Henry’s Walk Garden – 11c King Henry’s Walk, London N1 4NX.
This is a community garden run by volunteers with support from Islington Council. It is a tranquil and productive space, opened especially for us on the day.
