The 2012/13 briefs as part of the RSA Student Design Awards are now available to view and download. The 2012/13 briefs address important social, environmental and economic issues, as future scenarios for work and workplaces (Workplace 2030); how we can improve our understanding of water and its value in our society (Valuing Water); how design might help answer questions about spirituality (Speaking of the Spiritual); and how designers can use their communication skills to promote sustainable living (Change Makers).
The RSA Student Design Awards scheme has rewarded craft, ingenuity, insight, communication and social benefit for 88 years. The RSA Student Design Awards competition issues briefs to young designers to demonstrate how the insights and processes of design can solve 21st century problems. We work with leading design educators to develop the skill and confidence of young professionals while demonstrating to others the power of a design-led approach.
We look forward to another successful year of the RSA Student Design Awards with inspirational and innovative responses to these challenging briefs from talented young designers across the UK and abroad.
