The RSA is delighted to launch the Inclusive Growth Commission, a major new inquiry into how best to make local economies across the UK more economically inclusive and prosperous.

The Inclusive Growth Commission will be a high-profile, independent inquiry, building on the findings of the RSA City Growth Commission.

The Commission will seek to answer two key questions. First, is there a model(s) of place-based growth that also addresses social and economic inclusion? And, second, what is this model(s) and how might it be implemented in a UK context?

The Commission will look to influence policy makers and practitioners in the context of the evolving city-region devolution agenda, with an aim to publish final recommendations before the new metro mayoral elections in 2017.

Panel: Lord O’Neill, Commercial Secretary to the Treasury; Stephanie Flanders, Commission Chair and Chief Market Strategist for the UK and Europe, JPMorgan Asset Management; Tony Travers, Professor of Government, LSE and Cllr Claire Kober, Leader of Haringey Council, Chair of the LGA Resources Board and Deputy Chair of London Councils.
