Margaret Calvert RDI is one of the most influential graphic designers of our time. With a career spanning six decades she transformed transport design in the 1950s and 1960s alongside the late Jock Kinneir. Further successes include her work for British Rail, Gatwick Airport, teaching as head of graphic design at the RCA, and her very own ‘Calvert’ typeface used by designers worldwide today.
