Student Design Awards winner: MakeCents
WINNER: Brief 7, Just About Managing- How might we enable households and families to be more economically secure?
‘MakeCents’ is a service design proposal which provides job-sharing opportunities and builds a support network which makes it easier for mothers to stay in the workplace.
The high cost of childcare, rigid employment practices and shouldering most of the primary care responsibilities are some of the main reasons the workplace remains inaccessible and unattractive to many women. MakeCents is a job-sharing service and community for mothers that makes it easier for them to stay in the workplace.
