Environmental policy

RSA Environmental policy

The RSA regards minimising our impact on the environment as one of our basic management goals and organisation priorities.

We take environmental protection measures, and community responsibility as a positive challenge to be implemented at all management levels by establishing targets and action plans.

  • As a consequence of this, the management are committed to continuous improvements in environmental performance and the prevention of pollution.
  • We will promote best practice in the protection of the environment and the wider community.
  • We are committed to continuous improvement of the Society's environmental performance and prevention of pollution.
  • We are committed to complying with all applicable environmental legislation and, where possible, exceeding regulatory requirements.
  • We will measure our environmental performance, and communicate the results on a regular basis.
  • We will reduce, reuse and recycle as many materials as is practically possible. Every possible action will be taken to eliminate the use of environmentally unfriendly materials in our organisation.
  • We will assess and evaluate the potential environmental impacts and risk of pollution from our operations, in order to protect the environment and use fewer raw materials, products and produce less waste.
  • We will seek to eliminate all environmental accidents and unplanned events.
  • We will establish a company training package that will educate and motivate our workforce in environmental responsibilities.
  • We will work with suppliers and contractors to encourage the adoption of environmentally responsible practices.

This policy is communicated to all of our employees. It is also displayed on the notice boards throughout our organisation, and is available for public viewing in the reception. This policy and all relevant environmental documentation will be reviewed at regular intervals.
