Following elections in autumn last year the new Fellowship Council for 2018 – 2020 started their roles. I hope Fellows in the London Area will join me in a warm welcome to new Councillors Ann Longley and Kuki Taylor, and to Bhavani Esapathi for her second term.
The role of Area Fellowship Councillors is to help develop Fellowship engagement and activity, and to ensure the voice of the Fellowship is heard within the organisation. There are over 9,000 Fellows based in London and many opportunities to get involved. We’re keen to hear about professional and personal projects which relate to the mission of the RSA, as well as skills and ideas you’d like to share with the Fellowship community.
Read brief introductions from your three London Councillors below and find out how you can collaborate with them in the coming months.
We look forward to connecting with you soon.
Bhavani Esapathi
"I have worked in the start-up and digital arts environment for the past seven years with specific interest in developing technology-led initiatives around chronic illness, social care & creative interventions at policy level. Projects include The Invisible Labs.
My areas of interest/expertise include the following and I’d be pleased to connect with you on Fellow-led projects relating to these themes – at whatever stage of development:
-
Technology for social impact
-
Art & Science
-
Health data."
Contact Bhavani on Twitter @bhaesa or message her directly through her MyRSA profile here.
Ann Longley
"The RSA aligns with my mission to create positive social change. As such, I am keen explore how we can collaborate in areas of common interest using digital tech and tools but also face to face. Currently, I am working as the interim Digital Director with the Prince’s Trust, as a visiting lecturer with the University of Greenwich. I am also the founder of Something New Together, a co-creation and business transformation consultancy."
Kuki Taylor
"Like most Fellows I joined the RSA to be inspired. I desire to learn about the challenges we face as a society and join together to not just discuss but develop and enact projects that we can engage with to instigate change for the better of all our communities. Collaboration will be key but so too reflection. I am dedicated to engage with our London Fellows, those most active and those less so and perhaps a little disillusioned. I invite you to get in touch so that we can share:
-
Experiences, ideas, and goals for Fellowship in the London Area over the next two years
-
Opportunities for collaboration on projects working towards social change."
Contact Kuki by messaging her directly through her MyRSA profile here. She has availability to meet/ speak on Fridays.

Adding to the warm welcome for our new Councillors Ann Longley and Kuki Taylor, and to Bhavani Esapathi for her second term'.
I've invested a decade of effort and finance in research and development for creative enterprise and emerge with an organic development in West London via a post-Grenfell fire pledge.
2020 branches creatively, as I return as FRSA after a lapse (life challenges)
Opening buds for enterprise education, for West London communities, within the creative industries
Congratulations :-)
