In the run-up to the Fellows Festival, our flagship RSA Engage series is opening its virtual doors to the global community with two sessions on 12 May: the first one co-hosted with RSA Oceania and the second with RSA US.

We’re inviting pitches from Fellows around the world who are leading innovative projects that are helping to build a fairer, more regenerative future – one that is better than the one we inherited.

Each presenter will get approximately 5 minutes to share details of their project, with a clear call to action for our global community of Fellows. Following the showcase, audience members will break into smaller groups, where they will be able to discuss the projects in greater detail and offer their support and feedback.

Our confirmed speakers for this session are:

  • Khalid Albaih. FADAA: a non-for-profit platform that offers meaningful connections between art patrons and artists, staging encounters and supporting transformative possibilities for all.
  • Chris Oestereich. Circular Design Lab and Morph Bags: helping communities and organisations shift towards the circular economy. Morph Bags works with informal seamstresses and refugees to upcycle waste materials into useful products.
  • Leanne Gibson. Manurewa High School Business Academy: supporting educational equity for young people in their transitions to entrepreneurship and employment.
  • Andrew Gaines. Great Transition Initiative: a citizen-led educational movement to inspire thoughtful mainstream commitment to doing everything required to transition to a life-affirming global culture.
