Hawkwood College are offering artist residencies, supported by their partner “The Francis W Reckitt Arts Trust” to enable artists to come and create work here between September and December.

These residencies are open to all artists of all disciplines to support them in creating new work. The artists must be professional and not be able to cover the costs of a residency themselves (which is the equivalent of £140 per 24 hours per person). See the website for further details.

The funds cover board (lovely organic food!), lodging and studio space (we can’t cover travel I’m afraid).  Usually, people are welcomed for 5 day residencies but there exists the possibility to consider longer residencies if needed. Just to reassure you, new protocols have been established to ensure that Hawkwood operates in a safe way for everyone who goes to work there.

What really helps to minimise administration is when artists come to work together in groups – though not too large a group of course at the moment! So if you know of any small groups wishing to work together or develop new work please get in touch through the website link below? Individual applications are welcome as well!

Individuals can apply via the website.  Please feel free to share with as many people as you’re able.
