“Without music, life would be a mistake” - Friedrich Nietzsche

Sulamita Aronovsky FRSA is seeking some help from RSA Fellows, who would be interested in the following musical project. Having been in charge of the London International Piano Competition for over 25 years, she is eager to preserve and develop its achievements. In addition to discovering the artists of tomorrow, the Competition aims to educate the wider public by breaking down perceived barriers and attract a more diverse and larger part of the community to classical music.

It has provided a unique platform for the world’s most talented young pianists for over 25 years. The prestigious event has been instrumental in discovering and nurturing some of the best artists of the last quarter of a century.  In all those years, the funding needed to deliver the Competition was achieved with some degree of security. Sadly, due to recently changed circumstances that is no longer the case.

The LIPC is the only major London based International Piano Competition, and without urgent financial support, with deep regret, will very soon face closure. Obviously, that outcome would be a tragedy for the next generation of musical talent.

Goodwill of a philanthropist is urgently needed to bridge the funding gap and ensure the future of the event. Could this be you? If so, or if you are able to recommend a suitable individual who may be able to help, please contact:
