On Monday 27th July, Rani Moorcroft FRSA invites you to join the 1st follow up session to the RSA Fellow-led Sustainability Network's event held on World Environment Day.

The theme of this interactive event will be: Green Shoots for Global Recovery post C-19: How Innovative Partnerships Worldwide Are Fast Rebuilding Economies, Health & Community Cohesion.

Sri Lanka’s Climate Change Director, Dr Jayathunga & Essex County Council’s Leader for Economic Development, Tony Ball open this session which was requested by attendees at the RSA Sustainability Network event on the 5 June 2020. They share observations on tackling climate change from two global perspectives. 

Part One examines how Mangroves contribute to decarbonisation of the planet. Their potential for food, medicine, ecotourism and income generation is growing. The event will visit two Commonwealth countries, Sri Lanka and Kenya to see how they are reducing our carbon footprint on behalf of the western world. In Part Two, we hear how small social entrepreneurs in UK can make huge local and global changes through innovative products and volunteering and in Part Three we ‘Walk the talk’ with a session on Action Planning.
