8 new Fellowship projects funded

The following Fellow-led projects have just been awarded Catalyst grants to help take their ventures to the next stage:

Gada -  Ideas for Democracy (Mattia Fosci): Forum to receive and facilitate policy proposals from the general public, and use expert support to turn the best ideas into concrete policy propsals and campaigns. Find out more

Edorable (Ben Whitehead): Initiative to reduce food waste by creating and selling healthy snacks and donating 10% of the profits to organisations tackling food waste. 

PRACtivate (Leslie Alfin): Supporting individuals at risk to become financially stable using a restorative approach. Currently focused on former gang members and ex-offenders. Find out more

EduKicks (Oscar Mwaanga): Innovative method for promoting academic and other vocational life skills through football related drills and activities. Part of a broader social enterprise, Edumove. Find out more. 

Town Digital Hub (Keith Harrison-Broninski): Website to help third sector organisations and public bodies work together to deliver better public services, based on successful examples. Find out more

CDF Digital LTS – Eyes Wide Open Event (Gareth Jones): Free creative events platform run across a print magazine and an app for iPhone and Android. 

Sharing Cardiff (Tamsin Stirling): A shop where you can borrow infrequently used items such as tools, toys and kitchenware - democratising access to products so that you can do more by owning less.

Personal Renewable Energy (Daniel O’Leary): An appliance that combines solar and wind energy to charge a battery, on a small scale, so that it is portable and easily used in both urban and remote areas.
