Latest Catalyst Award winners announced

Supporting social entrepreneurs is one of the ways that the RSA is able to unleash the power to create in society. Our Catalyst programme has just awarded funding to the following Fellow-led ventures - congratulations to all involved.

Talk to Talk - (Amanda Perry FRSA) In partnership with the University of Northampton, Talk to Talk is piloting an education support programme using student volunteers as one-on-one champions with English as an Additional Language (EAL) children, in schools serving deprived areas.

Energy Local  - (Mary Gillie FRSA) A new way for communities to use locally owned generation directly, to save money and carbon. This project will improve energy awareness, help climate change and increase community cohesion - read more in Mary's blog. 

Community Taxibus - (Thomas Druitt FRSA) Rebooting collective transport in rural communities, Tom's venture utilises the convenience of a taxi and the utility of a bus, while bringing people together and embedding the concept of sustainable travel.

The Drawing Room @54, Arts Club and Gallery - (Nigel Ryan FRSA) This venture will provide a platform, focus and a conduit for the arts and culture in Haywards Heath and surrounding areas. There is currently no provision of this type.

Hope Moves Mountains Resilience Education Project  - (Ismael Velasco FRSA) Evidence-based resilience and hope education curriculum for Inuit youth in Greenland.
