City Hall, Leicester

Leicester City Council is working with the RSA and grassroots democracy experts, Talkshop, on a Climate Assembly on 18th January.

The assembly will provide local citizens with an opportunity to explore the council’s proposals for the city to become carbon neutral, following the declaration of a Climate Emergency in February 2019.

You can apply to take part in the climate assembly up until 31st December (please do share the application link with anyone else you think might be interested). Please note that there are limited spaces (50-70) and not everyone who applies will be guaranteed a place. Efforts will be made to ensure that participants are as representative as possible of Leicester’s population. Find out more about Leicester’s Climate Emergency Conversation and email [email protected] with any queries.

Learn more about the RSA’s work on Innovation in Democracy and join our campaign for deliberative democracy.

If you have any access requirements or require any reasonable adjustments, please let the team know: [email protected]. Please also let us know if you have any dietary requirements or severe allergies.

Location: City Hall, 115 Charles Street, Leicester, LE1 1FZ
