RSA Fellow's documentary film premieres at The Changemakers arts festival

RSA Fellow, Kelly Burks' powerful film, A Film for Northern Uganda, will be premiering at this year's Changemakers Arts Festival.

The Changemakers Festival is a unique London arts event that seeks to celebrate those who use storytelling as a catalyst for social change. It is being held this year between 26th-29th October.

Set to be one of the cinematic highlights of the festival is Kelly Burks and Eric Bednarski's powerful 45-minute documentary, commissioned by the United Nations Development Programme, that captures stories that captures stories from some of the people terrorised by Uganda's Lord’s Resistance Army, the rebel group led by Joseph Kony. After two decades of human rights violations and wartime atrocities, the film chronicles how survivors are rebuilding the region of Northern Uganda through empathy, forgiveness and reconciliation.

The premiere will be held on the Wednesday 26th October, 6.30pm at 24 Greencoat Place, London, SW1P 1RD and will be followed by a Q&A session with the film's two directors.
